always in the middle

it's a more exciting week. this weekend my dearest brother and sister are coming to visit! yay. i'll have to go buy some pizza pops, right andrea? this also means that i actually have every day of the long weekend off, which in itself is rare and marvelous. and the third great thing is that there is also a fun and lovely wedding we will be going to on saturday. how great can a weekend get? not much better than this. my sister and brother are very cool. you might be surprised seeing as how i'm more of a nerd than a cool type, but they definitely are cool. take a look at the coolness.

i'm the one in the middle. always in the middle. we'd be in the car and i'd always have the middle seat, both of their sleeping heads bobbing around on my shoulders...but if i dared to rest my tired head on top of one of their heads which were on top of my shoulders, they went crazy. one day i decided not to sit in the middle so i sat on the side and refused to budge, making them crawl over me to get in...lots of yelling by them...one nice spanking for me. man. the middle child just can't win. but still i think they're cool. my brother would play houseboat with me, which was a game we made up by putting couch cushions and other things all over the floor and then jumping around from one to the next, trying to stay on our boat and not fall into the water, otherwise known as the floor. my sister was the best at building cool things with lego. we'd play lego all day in our pajamas. what fun. if i had lego now we'd do it again this weekend :) and we'd all play house together, with my sister being the dad (she was the tallest), me being the mom, lots of dolls being the babies, and my brother being...the dog. he was the dog when we played barbies, too. yes, he actually played barbies with us a few times. good times. you know, i think i like it in the middle.

Sounds like you had a nice childhood Karina! We totally used to do the same thing with cushions on the floor and make forts etc. I'm the middle child too but that didn't happen til I was 18 so I guess it doesn't really count.
I hope you have a lovely time with your siblings and enjoy the time off work!
