well, i haven't written about a book i've loved for a long time so here's a new one that everyone should read (or maybe two):
i actually read both of these a while ago, but they are both excellent. summer of light is a beautiful (and sometimes quite humorous) look at family, developing your passions, and what being a christian is really all about. through a series of events a father becomes a stay-at-home dad and begins to see life in a whole new way. i'd like to read more books by this author.
the dead don't dance is also a beautiful story of pain, loss, and redemption. i'm sounding kind of cheesy here but it was so good. i don't want to give much of the story away but basically it follows a young man through a period of several months while his wife is in a coma. intense and wonderful at the same time. so...come visit me at scott's and i'll set you up, or you can borrow the dead don't dance from me once my mom brings it back :)

Finally, some good book reviews from a girl who appreciates good fiction! I'll try to catch you at Scott's the next time I'm in town. Take care.
