adventures of carrot, installment 4

As is the case with all great superheroes, carrot experiences many narrow escapes. In one harrowing instance, carrot almost becomes part of the cooking show she had so easily dismissed months ago on her television. But thanks to her training, she is able to muscle her way out of any dilemma. She finally feels she is making a difference for all the carrots out there...when a new danger arises!

Carrot, meet cucumber. (sound effect: dun dun duh) Cucumber has been plotting for years to escape the same danger carrot is facing, and now he sees her and her species as a convenient scapegoat for himself and all the cukes of the world. Through his wily scheming, carrot is imprisoned in his evil lair! But thanks again to her stellar training and unusual arms, she is able to escape while her nemesis, cucumber, lies asleep. Let this be a lesson to us all: never underestimate the power of a carrot.

In the course of her escape, she is also able to rescue handsome pear who had been held captive for over a week in cucumber's damp, dark dungeon. Pear is eternally grateful and vows to make it up to carrot some day...
