dying eggs at easter is a lovely tradition from my childhood that i am trying to continue as an adult. one year i am even going to do what my oma always did: plant some grass seed in a pot/container so that it's nice and tall by easter and then put the eggs in the grass. i always liked that centerpiece on the "kids' table" at her house. this year carter was allowed to 'help' but he had his own little station with plastic eggs and cold water (and towels and a smock and snacks and maybe just a little food coloring...). and nothing got permanently stained except the eggs, so we consider it a success!

Beautiful, bright, eggs! And Carter is a little blonde, mini Jason!
Jason was blonde like that when he was small too :)
Such a great idea with the plastic eggs! Carter is such a cutie. I love that he is drinking the water :)
we didn't do eggs this year - and it makes me sad. maybe we should still do them!!
