The ninth month of Anderson's life has been wild. WILD. He has started doing new things at an extreme pace that has taken us all by surprise. Crawling. Pulling to a stand. Walking along furniture. Pulling up on anything - even bare walls. First two teeth. Feeding himself finger foods. Clapping. And yes, we will top it all off with his first haircut next week :) So needless to say he was not sleeping well for awhile but he's starting to do better with that again as things calm down a bit for him. It has been very exciting :) So here he is, successfully standing at the kitchen cupboards. The knobs are too high for him to use to pull himself up so he has to do that with no help from anything. But once he's up the knobs are useful...
I'm standing!
But wait...what's this?
He really enjoys crawling under the table and between all the chair legs, and now he likes standing down there too. It's a good place to stand and watch Carter run around and around the table (which he likes to do A LOT) without getting bowled over.
The sound of dishes being emptied from the dishwasher is irresistible to him now. I remember that stage well with Carter - the frantic hurried removing of all knives and forks and anything breakable and light enough for a baby to lift that looks like it could be within that impossibly long reach that all babies have before the baby arrives...crawling as fast as he possibly can, legs sliding out from underneath him on the linoleum, until at last he grabs onto the edge and stands up - on tiptoe - Success!
Other household chores can also be done by babies. Laundry, for example. Here he is, all tuckered out after folding a big load.
Ok, enough of that, says Carter. I'm cute too :) And dizzy. Running around in circles will do that.
And my favorite picture as of late - my two little mad scientists, concocting more wild schemes to keep their parents hopping :)
